JBW Group, one of the UK’s leading Enforcement service and Debt Recovery providers to Local and Central Government, have now cemented their position as the market leader for the recovery of unpaid Road User Charging penalties with a further 3 year contract with the Highways England Dart Charge Scheme.

Following an intensive competitive procurement exercise undertaken by Highways England earlier this year JBW Group, a supplier since the launch of the Dart Charge scheme in November 2014, are delighted to announce they have been selected as one of two debt recovery suppliers to the Dart Charge Scheme with effect from 1 July 2018.

JBW Group CEO, Nick Tubbs said of the contract award, “Since it’s introduction in November 2014 the Dart Charge Scheme has been hugely successful in reducing journey times and reducing congestion on the approach of the Dartford river crossings and JBW have been proud to play an important and significant role in its success to date. I am delighted that Highways England have again put their trust and faith in JBW and I am supremely confident that we will continue to meet their exceptionally high standards over the entire duration of this prestigious contract”.

The contract, for an initial period of three years but extendable by up to a further 2 years, requires suppliers to meet, without question, some of the most challenging and stringent performance targets required by either Central and Local Government.

John Mason, Client Services Director with overall responsibility for the Dart Charge service provided by JBW said of the announcement, “Since the start of the Dart Charge service in November 2014 we have worked extremely hard to meet the exceptionally high standards rightly demanded by Highways England. Coupled with our continuing success working with Transport for London on the Congestion Charging and Low Emissione Zone Schemes this announcement demonstrates we are now the leading debt recovery supplier for major Road User Charging projects. Our knowledge and experience of such schemes and the added value we bring to clients that select us as their partner for such services is truely unmatched”.
